Reelected in 2008, the conservative candidate Sylvie Boucher faces off against major opponents such as the Bloc Québécois candidate, Michel Létourneau, a former director of the Quebec Summer Festival. Lorraine Chartier, a former businesswoman, is running for the Liberals. The NDP’s Raymond Côté and the Green Party’s Louise Courville are also on the ballot.
