Jeanne-Le Ber
The NDP is enjoying a strong surge in public opinion in Quebec, and that is adding to the interest in what was already a hot contest between the Bloc Québécois and the Liberals in the Montreal riding of Jeanne-Le Ber. Bloc Québécois Incumbent Thierry St-Cyr squeaked through the last two elections, winning what has traditionally been Liberal turf. Martin Stringer reports this time he faces businessman and entrepreneur, Liberal Marc Bruneau, as well as the NDP’s Tyrone Benskin. Conservative Pierre Lafontaine, the Green’s Richard Noël and Eileen Studd for the Marxist-Leninist Party are also running.
