Trinity-Spadina
Olivia Chow has held the downtown Toronto riding of Trinity-Spadina for the NDP since 2006 . Her challenger this time is the same person who she beat in 2008, Christine Innes. Innes’ husband Tony Ianno held the seat for the Liberals for 13 years defeating Chow twice during his tenure. This urban riding has seen a significant number of new residential developments over the last few years, attracting a younger, more affluent constituent and will have an effect on the outcome of the May 2 vote. The Conservative candidate Gin Siaow is co-owner of a car dealership in Markham. Chester Brown is the Libertarian and Nick Lin is running for the Marxist-Leninists and Rachel Barney is carrying the Green Party banner.
CPAC’s Gail Dugas recently visited Trinity Spadina and came back with this report.
