Yukon
Yukon is one of Canada’s most prosperous ridings. The global demand for commodities has sparked a boom in the mining industry, jobs are plentiful, and unemployment is at a meagre four per cent. For Liberal incumbent Larry Bagnell, it’s all good news. But his party’s position on the gun registry has left his competition thinking that he’s vulnerable after 11 years. Conservation officer Ryan Leef is running for the Conservatives, and musician Kevin Barr is the NDP candidate. Engineer and Yukon College lecturer John Streicker is the Green Party’s representative.
