New Bank of Canada governor Stephen Poloz discusses his appointment and the role of the central bank as the global economy continues to recover from the 2008 recession. His first significant public appearance comes on his fourth day on the job. Poloz replaces Mark Carney, who will become the first foreigner to run the Bank of England when he begins his five-term on July 1.
