In Committee from the Senate of Canada

National Security and Defence

RMCP Commissioner Bob Paulson discusses harassment within the national police force. The commissioner addresses the high-profile allegations of harassment made by some RCMP officers.

Senators hear from retired Lieutenant-Generals Michael Jeffery and Andrew Leslie during the first part of the meeting. These two witnesses outline the changes implemented in the Canadian Forces following the Somalia Inquiry. This public inquiry investigated the 1993 murder of a Somali 16-year-old boy by members of the Canadian Airborne Regiment serving in a peacekeeping mission in Somalia.
