Social Affairs, Science and Technology

Conservative MP Harold Albrecht outlines Bill C-300, which would establish a federal framework for suicide prevention. Marla Israel from the Public Health Agency of Canada and Kathy Langlois of Health Canada provide additional testimony.

Alisa Simon from Kids Help Phone, Philip Upshal of the Mood Disorders Society of Canada, Kimberley Wilson from the Canadian Coalition for Seniors' Mental Health and Dr. Alex Drossos of the Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention discuss their respective organization’s roles and provide support for the bill.

Senators also conduct their clause-by-clause consideration of the bill.
