Senators examine Bill C-313, which would amend the Food and Drugs Act.

Dr. Lillian Linton from the Canadian Association of Optometrists and Tushar Mehta of Camden Passage Inc. express their concerns with reclassifying non-corrective contact lenses as prescription necessary purchases.

Conservative MP and sponsor of the bill, Patricia Davidson, outlines C-313.

UPDATE: Bill C-313 received royal assent on December 14.
