Can't believe that a canadian media station like Sun News is having troubles with CRTC to achieve their goal. WHICH PLEASES CBC payed for by the public a great deal Foreign news media had no troubles achieving their goals to run their programs in canada. Unlike most news industry that run their business with the aide like advertising and good programming CBC cannot operate alone they depend on public's money to survive. That to me is poor and pathetic. CBC HAS NO IDEA HOW TO OPERATE WITHOUT THE PUBLIC MONEY. In other words, CBC WILL TAKE MONEY FROM A BEGGAR THAN OTHER NEWS STATIONS EVER WILL.

sun news mostly defends corporate interests, and the governments right wing agenda. They are not news and most of their ideals are at odds with was is good for Canada and the majority. We can only hope the conservatives do not have a news station in their arsenal to fool more Canadians into thinking they are looking out for their interests.

we have, here in Belgium, proportional representation and it changes nothing. In my view only direct democracy can. Paul

PR would change things to the extent that there would rarely be a majority and so all representatives would have to carry on a public debate
Donna Chevrier:
Thank you for this excellent in depth commentary.
Jesse:
I wonder how this situation would change, if at all, if proportional representation were adopted.
