War of 1812 National Recognition Ceremony

Governor General David Johnston presides over a ceremony at Rideau Hall recognizing 48 First Nations and Métis communities with a heritage link to the War of 1812. Each community is presented with a Commemorative War of 1812 medal and banner. Prime Minister Stephen Harper also makes remarks. (October 25, 2012)
