The House agrees to a motion by Walter McLean to address the issue of the disappearance of Swedish diplomat Raoul Wallenberg, during World War II, with the Soviet delegation during the Conference on Security and Co-operation in Europe. The discussion of economic issues dominates Question Period, including questions about wages, low-income assistance, and rising food prices.
The House resumes its consideration in committee of the whole of Bill C-47, a supply bill, which subsequently passes third reading. Another supply bill, Bill C-49, is introduced and quickly passes first, second, and third readings.
