Question Period includes a series of heated exchanges between Flora MacDonald and Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau on the subject of a covert investigation into Leader of the Opposition Brian Mulroney allegedly carried out by the Prime Minister’s Office. There are also questions for Minister of Finance Marc Lalonde concerning the budget and the state of the economy.
The House resumes its debate on an earlier question of privilege raised by Erik Nielsen concerning the alleged investigation into Mr. Mulroney; Ian Deans, David Crombie, Douglas Fisher (Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance), Albert Cooper, Mr. Evans, and Ms. MacDonald speak.
