Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau responds to a number of questions concerning the Constitution during Question Period. Mr. Trudeau also responds to a call by Tom Cossitt for the dissolution of Parliament. On a designated Opposition day, Sinclair Stevens introduces a motion condemning the failure of the government’s industrial development policy; there are speeches by Herb Gray (Minister of Industry, Trade and Commerce), Ian Deans, John Evans (Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Finance), Gordon Gilchrist, Aideen Nicholson, Bill Vankoughnet, Claude-André Lachance (Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of State for Trade), John Thomson, Mark Rose, David M. Collenette (Parliamentary Secretary to the President of the Privy Council), Stanley Knowles, and Paul E. McRae.
