2nd Session—33rd Parliament

During Question Period, Flora MacDonald (Minister of Communications), Marcel Masse (Minister of Energy, Mines and Resources), and Tom McMillan (Minister of the Environment) face questions on the Canada–U.S. Free Trade Agreement, while Ray Hnatyshyn (Minister of Justice) responds to questions about an RCMP investigation into public works leasing contracts.

The House resumes its second reading of Bill C-130, legislation to implement the Canada–U.S. Free Trade Agreement; there are speeches by John Turner (Leader of Opposition), John Reimer, Margaret Mitchell, Gabriel Fontaine, and Sheila Copps.

Members vote to adopt a ways and means motion to amend the Income Tax Act and other related acts.
