The House resumes its consideration of the federal budget with speeches by Len Hopkins, Harvie Andre (Minister of Supply and Services), Rod Murphy, Bob Horner, Roland de Corneille, Jim Jepson, David Orlikow, Robert Toupin, Lloyd Axworthy, and Peter Elzinga. The motion to adopt the budget passes on a recorded vote.

The budget is the leading topic during Question Period as Michael Wilson (Minister of Finance) and Jake Epp (Minister of National Health and Welfare) respond to inquiries on the subject of pensions, tax exemptions, and income tax. Chris Speyer (Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Justice) is asked about appointments to the Department of Justice.
