House of Commons Debates

1st Session—32nd Parliament

Question Period includes inquiries about the approval of the Garrison water diversion project in the United States, the reporting deadline for the special joint committee on the Constitution, oil sands development, and oil imports from Saudi Arabia. The House resumes its debate on Bill C-6, a bill concerning banking institutions and the establishment of the Canadian Payments Association; there are speeches by Bill Yurko, Fred McCain, Bill Wright, Sinclair Stevens, and David Orlikow. An amendment to the bill by Bob Rae is lost and Bill C-6 passes third reading.
