The Great Canadian Tour

Join Glen McInnis as he visits the Prairie Provinces.
Join Glen McInnis as he travels 90 kilometres south of Saskatoon to the Batoche National Historic site. Established in 1872 the village of Batoche was the site of the last battlefield in the Northwest Rebellion/Métis Resistance of 1885. Learn more about the history of the Métis nation and the pivotal role they played in the building of Canada. Theirs is a history riddled with hardship, hope, happiness, bloodshed and despair. This is the story of the challenges they have faced and the struggles that continue to this day.

Glen also travels to the southeast corner of Saskatchewan to the town of Esterhazy, known as the, 'Potash Capital of the World.' Saskatchewan is the largest potash producer on the planet, generating thousands of jobs. This is a 2 billion dollar per year business and is one of Canada's largest resources and a major export commodity. Learn more about potash, where is comes from and what it means to the future of Saskatchewan and Canada.

Glen also asks ordinary people from Manitoba and Saskatchewan what makes their part of Canada so unique.
