At a press conference in Ottawa, lawyers for the Commission of Inquiry into the case of Maher Arar release portions of a summary of CSIS evidence from in-camera hearings. Commission Counsel Paul J. J. Cavalluzzo comments on the government’s objection to a full release of the summary and responds to questions from journalists. Commission Counsel Marc David also elaborates on the issue of national security, the continuation of the inquiry, and the government’s decision to withhold information from the public.
