Commission of Inquiry into the Investigation of the Bombing of Air India Flight 182

Witnesses: Tom Doran, Phillip Kelly, Peter Kirwan

The Commission hears testimony from a panel of witnesses from An Garda Síochána, the national police force of Ireland, including Tom Doran, Phillip Kelly, and Peter Kirwan. Under direct examination by Commission Counsel Anil Kapoor, the witnesses describe various provisions in Irish law related an accused’s right to disclosure during criminal proceedings. They are asked about the relationship between these provisions and intelligence gathering, about the relationship between intelligence and evidence, and about the handling of sources of intelligence.
