Commission of Inquiry into the Sponsorship Program and Advertising Activities
The Commission continues to hear closing oral arguments. Doug Mitchell (Counsel for the Liberal Party of Canada) makes closing arguments. Mr. Mitchell acknowledges problems with the awarding of sponsorship contracts to agencies and with fundraising practices in the Quebec wing of the Liberal Party but denies the existence of a kickback system for sponsorship payments.
