Witness: Giuseppe Morselli
Associate Commission Counsel Guy Cournoyer continues direct examination of Giuseppe (Joseph) Morselli (a former member of the finance commission of the Quebec wing of the Liberal Party of Canada). Discussion focuses on meetings with Alain Renaud and Jean Brault and on Mr. Morselli’s anger following the firing of Beryl Wajsman by Daniel Dezainde. Mr. Morselli also describes Mr. Brault’s cash donation to the municipal election campaign of Benoît Corbeil. He denies an earlier claim by Mr. Brault that he arranged for Mr. Brault to make a cash payment to Mr. Wasjman during a dinner at Frank’s restaurant in Montreal in the fall of 2001.
