Lead Commission Counsel Richard Wolson conducts examination of Kim Campbell (former Prime Minister of Canada and former Minister of National Defence), with questions focusing on Mr. Schreiber’s correspondence with Ms. Campbell during her time as the minister of National Defence and during her time as the prime minister of Canada. Richard Auger (Counsel for Mr. Schreiber) conducts a short cross-examination. The Commission proceeds to hear testimony from Perrin Beatty (former Minister of National Defence), with Commission Counsel Evan Roitenberg conducting examination. Mr. Beatty describes criteria and procedures for defence procurement and recalls lobbying by Bear Head Industries for a proposed manufacturing plant for military vehicles to be located in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
