La Politique sur le Terrain

CPAC journalist Sandra Landry spent two days with the NDP's Yvon Godin as he returned to his riding of Acadie-Bathurst in Northern New Brunswick for a number of activities. Godin was guest speaker at a volunteer appreciation night in the tiny seaside Acadian community of Lamèque, a participant in the "Walk for Autism" in Bathurst and a guest speaker in the celebrity roast of former Beresford mayor Raoul Charest. A former union representative for the United Steelworkers, Yvon Godin was first elected in 1997 during the Atlantic sweep by the NDP under Alexa McDonough. Godin is currently serving as his party's critic for Official Languages and Labour.
