The Upheaval: This episode chronicles the dramatic rise and fall of the Reform and Bloc parties. Brian Mulroney called them “one-trick ponies,” yet they rate as the most successful protest movements in Canadian history, drawing 4.4 million votes at their peak. United only by rejection of the status quo, the parties’ success and ultimate failure is one of the most dramatic sagas of the era.
