On October 3, 2012 a symposium was held on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the negotiation of the Canada-US Free Trade Agreement. In the first panel discussion Derek Burney, former Ambassador of Canada to the United States, Wendy Dobson, Professor, the Rotman School of Management, Michael Hart, former adviser in the Trade Negotiations Office and others discussed the past, present and future of Canada's trade relationship with the U.S.
