The Canadian Medical Association holds its 146th annual general council in Calgary from Aug. 18-21, 2013. The theme of this year's meeting is "Canada's Physicians: Leadership in Changing Times."

This education session features a discussion on engaging patients on advance directives. The panellists are Sharon Baxter (Executive Director of the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association), Nathan Kottkamp (Chairman and Founder of the National Healthcare Decisions Day in the U.S.), Dr. Christopher Doig (ICU Physician from Calgary) and Dr. Robin Saunders (Family Physician from B.C.).
