The Canadian Medical Association holds its 146th annual general council in Calgary from Aug. 18-21, 2013. The theme of this year's meeting is "Canada's Physicians: Leadership in Changing Times."

This strategic session features a discussion on end-of-life care in Canada. The panelists are Sharon Carstairs (former Senate champion on palliative care), Dr. Paul Boucher (intensive care physician from Calgary), Dr. David Roy (noted bioethicist from Quebec) and Dr. Eric Wasylenko (family physician specializing in palliative care from Calgary) (August 19, 2013)
