Teva Canada Limited v. Pfizer Canada Inc., et al. (April 18, 2012)
Case # 33951
This case relates to a patent dispute. In 1994, Pfizer received a patent for compounds used in the manufacturing of Viagra, a treatment of erectile dysfunction. Teva applied for a notice of compliance to produce a generic version of Viagra, claiming the patent was invalid. The Federal Court judge ruled against Teva and the Federal Court of Appeal then dismissed the appeal.
