Tête-à-Tête is a program about people who have made headlines in French-speaking Canada. In this episode, Pierre Donais sits down with Lysane Blanchette-Lamothe.
On May 2, 2011, Lysane Blanchette-Lamothe was elected as the NDP Member of Parliament for the Quebec riding of Pierrefonds—Dollard, formerly held by Liberal MP Bernard Patry.
After earning a diploma in youth intervention and a Bachelor’s degree in Education, she taught at Kuujjuaq, an Aboriginal community in Northern Quebec.
Before the election was called, she was pursuing a Master’s in Education and working for COMSEP, a community organization involved in fighting poverty.
