Marguerite Blais had a very successful career as a television host in Québec. Before becoming a politician, she was the director general of the Fondation du maire de Montréal pour la jeunesse from 1993 to 2006. She was also president of the Conseil de la famille et de l’enfance from 2003 to 2007. Since 2007, she has been the Liberal MNA for the riding of Saint-Henri—Sainte-Anne in Quebec’s national assembly. She held various ministerial positions in Jean Charest’s government.
