Tête à tête

Tête-à-Tête is a program about people who have made headlines in French-speaking Canada. In this episode, Pierre Donais interviews Marjolaine Boutin-Sweet.
Marjolaine Boutin-Sweet was born in 1956, in Abitibi. Since May 2, 2011, she has been the NDP Member of Parliament for the Montreal-area riding of Hochelaga. To win that seat, she defeated the incumbent Bloc Quebecois MP and former PQ cabinet minister Daniel Paillé by almost 8,000 votes.
Ms. Boutin-Sweet has a Master’s in Anthropology, and among the jobs she held before getting involved in politics were teaching at the University of Alberta, working as a guide at a museum in Montreal and as a labour activist.
