Tête à tête

Tête à tête highlights people who have made headlines in French-speaking Canada. In this episode, Pierre Donais sits down with Mathieu Ravignat.

Riding on the « orange wave » that swept through Quebec giving the NDP some fifty seats in that province, Mathieu Ravignat was elected as the NDP MP from the Quebec riding of Pontiac after defeating Conservative Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon in the May 2, 2011 election. Before entering politics, Mr. Ravignat worked as a federal government researcher for aboriginal and environmental issues at the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.
