Pierre Nantel was elected as the NDP Member of Parliament for the Quebec riding of Longueuil—Pierre-Boucher on May 2, 2011.
Before entering politics, Pierre Nantel worked in Quebec’s recording industry for over 20 years. He also worked for Cirque du Soleil Musique as an artistic director and talent scout. He made a name for himself in television working for TVA and Radio-Canada as a researcher and commentator, which enabled him to put his Communication degree from Concordia University to good use.
