Canada needs a new fleet of fighter jets to replace the decades’ old CF-18s, but which aircraft at what cost?
The government is denying published reports that they have cancelled a commitment to purchase the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter. Opposition parties are calling for the resignation of Defence Minister Peter MacKay over the continuing cost controversy. A KPMG audit on the F-35 is expected to be made public next week, and their is speculation the government will begin the process anew.
