NDP caucus meetings conclude Wednesday in Saskatoon with a speech by Thomas Mulcair and a meeting with former Saskatchewan premier Roy Romanow.
Mulcair's speech is scheduled for 11am ET (9am local time).
►Though the NDP has historic roots in Saskatchewan, the party has been shut out since the 2000 election, when MPs Lorne Nystrom and Dick Proctor were re-elected.
Mulcair blamed the province's current federal boundaries for the NDP's recent lack of success, but is more hopeful for 2015. Saskatchewan's 14 ridings have been redrawn to phase out mixed rural-urban ridings, over the objections of Conservative MPs.
