In the House - Monday

Mon Feb 11 2013

Third-reading debate is expected on the government's RCMP accountability reforms (Bill C-42). Included is a new Civilian Review and Complaints Commission, new measures to investigate serious incidents involving members of the force, and changes to human resources and grievance policies.

Debate begins on a private member's bill to ban the import of shark fins into Canada and prohibit the practice of shark finning itself. New Democrat MP Fin Donnelly introduced the bill.

MPs also debate Bill C-51, which makes several changes to the Witness Protection Program Act.
