The nine candidates to lead the Liberal Party of Canada took the stage together for the first time Sunday in Vancouver.

The themes revolved around the economy (aboriginal issues, foreign ownership, the environment), social policy (the environment and housing), Pacific Rim trade, and the spectre of electoral cooperation with other parties.
Each candidate delivered opening and closing statements. In between were two questions answered by all nine debaters (12.5 minutes for each), followed by 12 mini-debates designed for a set of three candidates at a time (5.5 minutes for each).
