Liberal Senator Grant Mitchell
Beyond Politics
Liberal Senator Grant Mitchell may be best known for the 12 years he spent in the Alberta Legislature from 1986 to 1998, the last four as Opposition Leader. In 2005, then Prime Minister Paul Martin appointed Mitchell to the Senate in Ottawa, the town where he was born.
