The 7^th annual CDFAI conference will focus on foreign policy and defence issues. This year expert speakers from academia, the public service, and the corporate world will seek to shed light on current cross border issues between Canada and the United States as well as develop amicable solutions for the challenges facing both nations.

The first session of the conference was entitled "North American Defence Issues" and featured Philippe Lagassé (University of Ottawa), Pierre Leblanc (Former Commander Task Force North) and Patrick Lennox (Postdoctoral Fellow, Centre for Military and Strategic Studies).
