Right to Know
From September 28th to October 2nd in Ottawa, a series of events was organized by the Office of the Information Commissioner to mark "Right to Know" week. The purpose of Right to Know (RTK) Week is to raise awareness about people’s right to access government information while promoting freedom of information as essential to both democracy and good governance.
On October 1st, at the University of Ottawa, this panel assessed freedom of information globally and examined current initiatives and obstacles to promoting greater access to official information held by national and international institutions.
