Jacques P. Vallée is president of the board of CILS-FM 107.9 (Radio Victoria) in B.C. Trained as an astronomer, he has been working at the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory in Saanich, B.C., since 1996. Since settling in Western Canada, he has been involved with many French-speaking organizations in Victoria including the Alliance Française de Victoria, the Association historique francophone de Victoria, the Société francophone de Victoria and the Radio communautaire de Victoria. In this interview, he speaks extensively about his community involvement and the role he played in establishing Victoria's community radio station.
