The National Capital Branch of the Canadian International Council organized this two-day conference, which was held in Ottawa from January 21
st to 22
nd, 2010.
Mel Cappe (president of the Institute for Research on Public Policy) moderated this
January 21st session, which looked at the strategic and global issues shaping the world of 2015.
Wenran Jiang (China Institute, University of Alberta) discussed the political and security issues, while
Chrystia Freeland (U.S. managing editor of the Financial Times of London) focused on the economy.
