English | Français The Federation of Canadian Municipalities held their fifth national conference on sustainable community development in Ottawa from February 14^th to 16^th. The 2008 Conference brought together municipal leaders, speakers and experts, and focused on the theme "Moving Innovation into Practice". On February 14^th, Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Sheila Watt-Cloutier gave a keynote address on climate change impacts in Canada's Northern Communities. Watt-Cloutier is a renowned Inuit activist and an advocate on Arctic climate change.
