The Federation of Canadian Municipalities held their fifth national conference on sustainable community development in Ottawa from February 14

th. The 2008 Conference brought together municipal leaders, speakers and experts, and focused on the theme "
Moving Innovation into Practice". On
February 14th, Nobel Peace Prize Nominee
Sheila Watt-Cloutier gave a keynote address on climate change impacts in Canada's Northern Communities. Watt-Cloutier is a renowned Inuit activist and an advocate on Arctic climate change.
