English | Français The Federation of Canadian Municipalities held their fifth national conference on sustainable community development in Ottawa from February 14^th to 16^th. The 2008 Conference brought together municipal leaders, speakers and experts, and focused on the theme "Moving Innovation into Practice". The Honourable Stéphane Dion, Liberal Party Leader, addressed the conference on February 15^th 2008. In his speech, Dion announced the Liberal Party's plan to tackle Canada's infrastructure deficit.
