We live with an increasingly global awareness, on a daily basis. We witness disaster and crisis in other parts of the world via television. We are urged to act as global citizens. We recognize that every action within our borders, be it policy changes or consumer choices, has resonance elsewhere in the world. And yet we are Canadian. Does this part of our identity, our nation, matter?
