First Nations leaders and delegates from across the country gather in Ottawa at the Assembly of First Nations’ Special Chiefs Assembly to discuss policy issues and set priorities for the coming year. The Assembly will also hear from federal ministers as well as federal and provincial leaders over three days from December 3 to 5.

Topics on the agenda include implementing the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s calls to action, and equitable fiscal relations.
