Manitoba Closes Schools Indefinitely Due to COVID-19 – March 31, 2020
In Winnipeg, Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister and provincial Education Minister Kelvin Goertzen announce that elementary and high schools in the province will remain closed indefinitely for the school year in response to the ongoing COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. Students will still receive marks and assignments, but grade 12 provincial exams are cancelled. The province had announced on March 13 that schools would be closed for three weeks until April 13.
