New Brunswick Update on COVID-19 Recovery Plan – May 22, 2020
In Fredericton, Blaine Higgs, the premier of New Brunswick, and Dr. Jennifer Russell, the province's chief medical officer of health, provide an update on the COVID-19 pandemic, as the province moves to its next phase of its recovery plan and starts to remove more public-health restrictions that are in place due to the coronavirus disease. Effective immediately, New Brunswickers can extend their two-family bubble to close friends and family members. Non-regulated health services can also open, along with barbers, estheticians, and other personal services. More businesses and services will be allowed to resume on May 29. The premier also announces that temporary foreign workers will be allowed to enter the province starting May 29 under strict public health guidelines, including isolating for 14 days before beginning work.
