B.C. Launches Agriculture Sector Job Portal to Address Labour Shortage

In Victoria, British Columbia Agriculture Minister Lana Popham announces the launch of an online job portal to provide farmers, seafood businesses and food processors with a one-stop site for their hiring and planning needs. The minister says the government is expecting a shortfall of 6,000 to 8,000 seasonal agricultural workers across the province this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
