COVID-19: Canada Responds
N.B. Identifies New COVID-19 Cluster in Campbellton Region – May 27, 2020
In Fredericton, Dr. Jennifer Russell, New Brunswick's chief medical officer of health, and Premier Blaine Higgs provide an update on the province's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Three recent confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease in the Campbellton region have been determined to be a single cluster related to travel. The cases are linked to a health-care worker who did not self-isolate after he travelled back to New Brunswick from a personal trip to Quebec. The individual saw patients and worked at the Campbellton Regional Hospital. Effective immediately, the public-health restrictions that were lifted last week throughout the province are re-imposed in the Campbellton region. To date, there have been 123 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in New Brunswick and 120 people have recovered from their illness. (no interpretation)
